Reiki Meditations
At the heart of the system of Reiki are simple yet powerful meditations and techniques designed to help us reconnect with our true nature — the radiant light that exists beneath layers of stress, fear, and distraction. These practices aren’t about adding anything new; they’re about gently removing what obscures our innate brightness so it can shine freely again.
Reiki meditations often focus on breath, awareness, and presence. A foundational practice like Joshin Kokkyu Hō teaches us to breathe Reiki into the hara (the energetic centre in the belly) and breathe it out through the body and beyond, cultivating a deep sense of calm and spaciousness. Techniques such as Gasshō (hands together in prayer at the heart) anchor us into the present moment, while Reiji Hō helps us listen and follow intuitive guidance during hands-on healing.
These meditations are not separate from Reiki — they are Reiki in action. Through daily practice, we become clearer channels for this universal energy, more centred in ourselves, and more connected to all of life. Whether used on their own or woven into a healing session, Reiki techniques invite us to live from a place of inner stillness and compassion.
